| Horatio Caine/David Caruso Appreciation: He's the "Hands-on-hips" Master! [img]smilies/star.gif[/img]THE HORATIO CAINE/DAVID CARUSO APPRECIATION THREAD [img]smilies/star.gif[/img] Well since the lovely Mrs. George Eads gave me permission to restart this thread, I of course jumped on the opportunity, 'cause I love this guy -- it's Horatio, for crying out loud, in all his snarky, red-headed glory. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Getting to the point, I have this little thing I like to do every Monday when I watch -- I count how many times he does the following things: ~Puts his hands on his hips ~Asks rhetorical questions ~Makes people eat their words I'm a loser, but it's so funny, because he does this stuff all the time! I never even noticed it at first, until I started trying to find a CSIM board that doesn't have all of two threads, one of which being "Miami Suks, Vega$ RULEZ!". All of a sudden everyone is trashing the big boss! As if. I'd like to see any of the haters hold his job. Never. And even now that it's been pointed out, it STILL doesn't bother me, because I'm not insane like that. People will just rant on and on about how he does the hip thing or repeats himself or others... kinda like I'm ranting on the ranters. WHO CARES? Eeesh. So. Yes. Lurve. Much Lurve. Plus I love how everyone calls him "H". I have NEVER called my bosses by their first initial! [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] I simply can't see myself saying "Hey B, here's those letters you wanted" or "Your 3pm is in conference room west, T!" Never. | I like how he turns other people's statements around on them and makes then eat their words. And I also appreciate how he delegates responsibilities to the crew -- he always starts the sentence this way: "K here's what I want you to do for me..." It's classic...love him. | Horatio is by far my favourite character in the world of CSI. 5 things I love about Horatio 1. the rare sight of a ginger person being in the lead role. Up the gingers! 2. his voice. its just gorgeous 3. his words: a brilliant combination of sarcsm, cynicism and contempt for criminal types 4. his morals- he has strong feelings about right and wrong and stuff bothers him much more so than a lot of the other characters. he adds the human element. i particular like the way he is a real gent and goes out of his way to try and protect women. 5. the shades and hip combo- so cool! __________________ my livejournal If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter. | |||

| I love Horatio too! I'm so glad for this thread. I don't understand why so many people dislike him. I love the hip touches and rhetorical questions!  And he's just so cool. Plus, he just has the biggest heart ever. | Horatio Caine is one awesome man. There was alot of episodes that started with him putting his sunglasses on and walking away, in the beginning of the show. I loved that and squealed everytime.
