CSI - Jonathan Togo/Ryan Wolfe Appreciation (CSI Miami)

Jonathan Togo will be joining the show as Ryan Wolfe in the Oct. 4 episode "Under the Influence."

Togo will play Ryan Wolfe, an officer hand-picked for the team by David Caruso's Horatio Caine. Wolfe is working toward a master's degree in genetics, which is bound to be helpful in the line of duty.

Familiar from his work in the Oscar-winning "Mystic River," Togo's list of guest-starring TV roles includes stints on "Law & Order," "Ed" and "The Jury." He also was a regular on UPN's "Special Unit 2."

"When you have a cast led by David Caruso, the bar is already set really high," says executive producer Ann Donahue. "Jonathan came in and we knew immediately that he would fit in as one of our CSIs. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team."

Togo will serve as a replacement for the member of the CSI team expected to die in the line of duty during the season's first episode.

I was looking forward to hating him because I'm such a massive Tim fan but then I saw Jonathan in the previews and I just thought he was so cute! I'm shallow, so what?

Anyways, I look forward to seeing how he works with the others. The preview for his first episode looked interesting. Calleigh seemed surprised at the addition of the "newbie"

He already has one thing in common with Rory Cochrane. Pics of him are hard to find. But I did find two.

I was also ready to hate him too but when he told Callegiah to put her hands on her pants or something like that in that preview. I felt like I was going to like the "newbie" and he does look like Greg in a weird way.

I thought he was so adorable when he first came out in his cop uniform.

I really liked his whole relationship with Calleigh throughout his first ep. I hope we get to see more of them working together.

Wonder what it will be like when he works with Delko.

I liked him in last week's episode. I agree with everyone who has said that he reminds them of Greg; I especially saw the resemblence during the scenes where he was doing lab work. He seems to have a good chemistry with the rest of the cast so far, particularly Calleigh.

I like how they didn't do the whole cliche 'newbie gets taken down a peg' storyline with him in the first episode.[/color]

He's in the opening titles now! It's weird to see credits change but cool at the same time.

He had bumpy starts with, first, Calleigh and then Alexx. Which is funny because I always thought that he would clash wih Eric but it seems that they're getting along fine.

Wel maybe it`s coming when they work together on a case or when he makes a mistake.
and Eric has to make it right for him or something.

I saw the first Wolfe ep for the first time tonight. I usually don't watch CSI Miami. But I'm glad I did tonight, in part because the emphasis on Wolfe and Calleigh meant less emphasis on Horatio.

Wolfe does look a little like Greg, but he has quite a different personality. Greg is kind of the omega wolf, providing comic relief. Wolf has a kind of focussed personality that I would more expect in a profession like his. Sort of like Gil's concern with the fine details of crime scene insects. I liked how he dealt with the crocodile.
