Yet again, I didn't see a Death Note thread. It seems like lots of people have read the manga, seen the anime or even the movies.

Well I'm just discovering it after a colleague's recommendation. I started watching the anime just this weekend. It IS good. It's the story of a student who got his hands on Death Note which is a notebook that can control deaths.

Thanx. I just finished the series. It was good. Next step is to watch the live-action movie.

I've read the manga and need to get started on the anime.

There were only 37 episodes to the anime. I watch maybe 2-3 every other day.

It's a brillant series.

I had started it before but decided that I wanted to read the manga first. Light was my favorite character overall but I also liked Misa and Teru. I can't remember who it was on the task force I liked.

I haven't read the Manga of it yet, so what did you like about them?

I enjoyed seeing how the power he had changed Light. Also seeing what lengths everyone was willing or not willing to go to stop him.

Light is this "evil" main character but yet we love him. It's kind of like Dexter.

It was hard not to like Light. Even though I knew the power was changing him I still rooted for him until the end.

With ''Dexter'' though there are many other ''evil'' characters as well. If he were the only 1 committing those crimes on that show specifically murder, then I'd guess people would feel different about him.

So what is the character ''Light'' about?

He gets his hands on this notebook where he can write in the names of people and they will die. He starts out killing only criminals but as time goes by and it corrupts him he starts to kill anyone in his way and he slowly starts to think of himself as a god. Also for me it felt like his idea of who was evil/crimanal slowly changed more to fit his needs the further along he went.
