You don't know Saint Seiya?
Gosh... I tought it was really famous around the world!!

I've found a description in english!

"Saint Seiya, also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada and serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1986 to 1991, and adapted into an anime TV series by Toei Animation from 1986 to 1989.

The story follows five mystical warriors called the "Saints" (or "Knights") who fight wearing sacred armors named "Cloths" which designs derive from the various constellations the characters have adopted as their guardian symbols. These Saints have sworn to defend the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena in her battle against the other Olympian gods who want to dominate Earth."

These ate the main saints:

My knowledge of anime is a bit rusty but just by the looks of the graphics, it must've been a very cool series. I may just have to You Tube this.

Every boy wanted to be a saint and used to talk about it. It was really huge!

Bearing in mind that over the years SS's increased popularity has lead to many new adaptations/spin-off, I thought of giving a brief guide for any starting off or interested but is not sure where to start:

Classic Manga 1 (This covers the Santuary Arc & the Hades Arc)* & 2 (Poseidon Arc)

The Lost Canvas 1 (in English)

*These scans are in in English. However, I can't find the Poseidon Arc in English, the one link I found was in Spanish.

Recently a new series has been released called Saint Seiya Omega (its anime only) - It is targetted at kids so that they get in the SS fandom. This series, I think it is good in the sense that achieves opening SS to new audiences and good for merchandise. However, bear in mind that SSO is quite soft and child-friendly compared to the classic series and the Lost Canvas (in that it is not very dark, gory or gruesome.)

Here are some sites where Saint Seiya can be watched online: GoGoAnime & AnimeHere

Here are some images to serve as a guide (of sorts)

Hope this is helpful
