Scene 15 - Gilmore Mansion, Living Room - Night 4 - Rory and Emily. Rory got an invitation to dinner and is happy to get some real food since she hasn't had a dinner that wasn't "super-sized" in weeks. Emily starts to say what's for dinner and Rory asks if she's dying. Emily asks her to gran the bottle of wine and they head into the dining room.
Scene 16 - Gilmore Mansion, Dining Room - Night 4 - A kind looking old man, Rev Boatwright is at the table with Richard. The Reverand and Rory make chit chat. He mentions her birthday. THey talk about her boyfriend. ROry looks to the pantry door, waiting for Richard to come back out. THe Reverand starts to talk about Rory's "virtue" and how it's the ultimate gift and to be careful about to whom and when it is given away. Rory doesn't get it at first, then realizes what he is talking about. She thanks the Reverand but says her ultimate gift ship has sailed. It's probably to Fiji by now. There's a long beat, then Rory asks the Reverand if he's seen "The 40 year old virgin".

Scene 22 - Gilmore House, Rory's bedroom - Day 6 (Early) - Rory wakes up and looks at the clock. It's 4:03am. She stares up at the ceiling.
Scene 23 - Lorelai's House, living room - Day 6 (early) - Lorelai is in bed, awake. The clock says 4:03am and she watches it until it changes to 4:04am then continues to stare at the ceiling.
Scene 24 - Gilmore House - Night 6 - Rory’s birthday party at the Gilmore Mansion. It is the beginning of the party. Richard is not there, leaving Emily to deal with everything herself. A couple has shown up early, Emily tells them to have a "Rory" then rushes off after greeting them, muttering to herself about them. She sees more guests, and yells at the maid, Mai Mai, for not answering the door on time. Rory comes down the stairs in a pretty semiformal dress, but is still in a “mood.” Later Rory introduces Lane and Logan. Lane mouths to Rory that he's cute. Rory mouths back that she knows. Lane introduces Zack to Logan. Logan asks if they want a drink and after recieving an affirmative asks the bartender for some "Rory"s. Rory is going to show Lane the house. Lane remarks on her having her own drink and Rory tells her that her face is on the guest soap.

Scene 29 - Gilmore House - Night 6 -Lorelai and Luke at the party. Lorelai says only Martinis should be in martini glasses. Luke asks what something is. Lorelai tells him it's raw fish, dip it in soy sauce and swallow fast. Lorelai asks if he's seen Richard. He hasn't. Two DAR women come up to them. They wanted to tell Lorelai how much they love Rory. Luke asks what the DAR is and the women burst into laughter. Luke leaves to get a drink. As he walks away he passes Paris and Doyle. The scene stays with them as they converse with a group. Paris remarks that last year she was sleeping with the editor, then Doyle jumps in to sey now he is.
Scene 30 - Gilmore House - Night 6 - Luke and Rory are somwhere. He pulls out an aged jewelry box and gives it to her. It's a birthday present. Luke says that he brought it in case Lorelai hadn't brought something, which she had, it smells like strawberries. Rory opens the box. Inside is a gold chain with a pearl and diamond pendant. Rory lets out a stunned "Luke". Luke says that it was his mother's and Liz can't wear it because her neck is too fat, but Rory's neck looks not fat and he just had it sitting around and thought "hey, give it to Rory". He tells her she's lucky because Ceasar's birthday is next week and he likes pearls. Rory throws her arms around Luke for a hug and says thank you. One of the women Rory had been talking to, Tweenie, comes over to see what was in the box. She couldn't help herself. Rory shows her the necklace and says it's from her step-father-to-be. Luke is taken aback and Rory smiles. Tweenie introduces herself as someone Rory works with at the DAR. Again Luke asks what the DAR is and Tweenie starts to laugh. Luke says he's been killing with that one tonight and Rory smiles at him.
Scene 31 - Gilmore House - Night 6 - Lorelai is at the cocktail table, drinking a "Rory". Emily comes by to see how the party is going. Lorelai says it seems to be a hit. Emily makes a comment about Luke getting lost. Lorelai says he went to get a beer. Lorelai continues to talk as Emily notices something and frowns. She's looking at Lorelai's engagement ring. They stare at each other a beat. Emily remarks that she guesses congratulations are in order. Lorelai says that wasn't exactly congratulations but sure, close enough. A caterer comes up to Emily and says they should cut the cake. Emily complains that Richard is still in his office moping instead of at the party.
