So, some of you might have caught glimpses already - maybe the trailer or you d/l-ed the pilot via bittorrent or other sources. What's your impression? Is this new? Is this great? Or is it doomed? What do you think of the characters, the cast dynamics etc?

They say teenage boys think about sex every 15 seconds. That's 240 times an hour. And in between they cram everything else: Cheating moms. Interfering dads. Sex. Secret crushes. Pop quizzes. Sex. Clueless teachers. School cliques. Sex. It's enough to make a kid's head explode. Melvin Burgess' breakthrough novel is the basis for this series about three hormone-charged teenage boys who are trying to do something even harder than losing their virginity, and that's to grow up without totally freaking out. There's Dino, the handsome jock with the secret sensitive side; Jonathan, the artist who sees life through a camera lens; and Ben, the straight-A student who still can't make his parents happy. You know them. You grew up with them. Maybe you were them. This coming of age drama in the tradition of Stand By Me and The Outsiders comes to ABC from the writers of Freaks & Geeks and Just Shoot Me.

jennarose - know the problem. so I bullied my boyfriend into d/l-ing it. saw it and found it was quite a nice show. I must admit though, that I'm not sure I'll d/l further episodes but if I lived in the US and just had to tune in, I'd definitely watch it.

ROCKSTAR - I think on 09/23 - but I'm not sure. maybe you check at the abc.com website?

I think it looks good...I don't know when it premieres either. It'll probably be posted on the ABC site soon if it isn't already.

yeah, there's Gilmore Girls, Judging Amy, Joan of Arcadia and Everwood I have d/l-ed and seriously I don't know what to give up of those in order to make room for LAWKI --- maybe if Everwood gets really really bad next season?!

Well I've finally seen the Pilot, and I really liked it. There's some stuff that's derivitive of other teen shows; female teacher/pupil relationship and Mum getting it off with the Coach, etc but I think it's a very different style, talking to the cameras, which works well.
Complaints are that it's difficult to tell the teachers and Coach from the pupils; they all look the same age. And it seems to demean women a little bit. But I liked his parents, at first. And Kelly Osbourne is pretty good.
