David Anders appreciation thread: Girls we're invading CSI!

Ok firstly I want to apologise to all those CSI fans that have no idea what or whom I’m talking about. I’ll also take this opportunity to apologise for the behaviour of David Anders fans our motto is simple: The good, the bad and the dirty.

News:

Quote:
Aug. 23, 2004 This week, Alias' favorite bad boy, David Anders, scores a plum role on CBS' CSI; and Heather Graham gives up the goods on her new Scrubs digs--you dig? Plus, The O.C.'s Seth and Summer are headed for splitsville, a Six Feet Under twosome get tantric, and Smallville's Lex waxes poetic--not to mention the dance floor.

From reddygirl: Anything on Alias, CSI or 24? Please?
Two out of the three, actually. Just heard that David Anders (Sark) scored a new role on television's number-one show--CSI (the OG CSI). He plays a toxicology expert in a recurring role, so he's double-timing with Alias and CSI this season. Alias has asked him to block out the month of October, which should get him onscreen sometime next spring. (Remember, Alias doesn't start till January this year.)

From larrypigtails: Great scoop on Sarkie! I'm so glad we'll be seeing him on CSI, but do you know how many episodes he'll be doing? And will he be naked?!
No number yet--they're seeing how things work out. But based on his original "one episode" commitment on Alias in the first season, something tells me we'll be seeing plenty of David on CSI. They will love him, oh yes, they will. He starts shooting this week. And with any luck, they'll have no wardrobe budget. Eh? Ehhh?
See I told you we have dirty minds. Some of us have watched CSI before and some of us are new but no matter, we are here to worship David.

For those who have no idea who this great hunk of spunk is, he has spent the last two or more years playing the Russian (with sexy British accent) bad guy Julian 'Mr Sark' Lazarey on Alias.

If this has caught your interest forum jump over to The Alias page where he has not one or two but THREE threads where he is the main topic under discussion. Or visit his website.

Watch this space!

Below is a montage of David/Sark pics that was posted by our beloved Ceci on the new characters thread here at CSI.

Great pics!!! Thanks much for reposting them here!

Ahhhh... David Anders appreciation... I could go on forever...

I will miss the British accent and nasty goodness that was Sark, but at least we'll get to hear his real accent... And we'll still get Sark from time to time on 'Alias'

*sigh*

Aisha Tyler has joined the cast too.

Quote:
Actress/stand-up comedian Aisha Tyler has landed guest-starring roles on two Emmy-nominated crime dramas: CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and Fox's "24."

On "CSI," she will play a quirky scientist who comes to work with Las Vegas' nocturnal crime-fighters. On "24," Tyler will play a data analyst who shakes things up at the Counter Terrorism Unit. She will debut in the third episodes of both series and will appear in three episodes of each show with an option for three more.

Tyler is best known for her comedic performances, most notably a stint on NBC's "Friends" last year, and her hosting duties on E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup."
I loved her performance on Nip/Tuck, that made me cry.

Didn't Aisha play Calleigh's best friend on CSI: Miami, who was shot in the first season's finale? Did Horatio resurect her with his Jesus powers?

Here's a picture of her:

Me too. Cause even if you kill him you know he'll just come back 3 days later.

Okay, well advance apologies to you Alias fans, but I have this thing against Alias (which is too hard to explain and kind of this inside joke thing with one of my friends so let's just leave it at at that) so I don't give a rat's ass about David Anders, but I do really like Aisha Tyler, and once I found out that Reiko Aylesworth wasn't JF's replacement, I was pretty excited about her spot.

But that being said, I don't really like all of them being added. While they're not big time A-list celebs, they're not completely unknown, more famous than Archie Kao and all the rest of the actors who portray the labrats, and it seems like the addition of them is such an obvious attempt to grab more viewers. Which I hate. It's such a cheap (as in weak and lazy, not financial), easy way out. I'd like to think CSI has more class than that.

What's wrong with unknowns? I love Archie and Bobby D and all them, and those actors weren't famous. And what's wrong with improving the show through writing? There's PLENTY of room for improvement there, especially after last season.

Sorry, I'll end my rant. It's been a long week.

Carry on.

Ok fair enough but I we are just here to support our boy, the whole alias thing is just because that is were most ppl know him from. This isn't a bagging thread it is a place to discuss newbies to the show.

So simple rule: If you don't have anything nice to say about either of these great actors who have gotten this great chance to be on this great show, don't say anything at all.

Im not being a bitch it is just common curtesy.

Nothing at all is wrong with them... Maybe the writers are trying to show more about what goes on in the actual lab and needed a few more 'characters' for Archie and Bobby D to interact with....

I'm just excited to see DA because the writers at Alias decided not to make his character a 'regular' and I'm really gonna miss that. So the bonus for Sarkie-poo/Anders fans is that at least we get to see him!

I half wondered if Aisha was gonna be a love interest for someone....

HEY! I resemble that remark. HA HA... Well, you got to admit... they are getting the viewers *raises hand*. Aren't you happy that your show will hold onto its numbers? I only watched it for part of season 1 (I grew up in Las Vegas and have this pet peeve about watching shows that are "filmed" there. Now who's ? LOL)

I love when more people join my favorite shows... ER = Shane West. HELLO!!! I just get happy when they do something to get more people to watch or come back... otherwise they will lose fans like ALIAS this year. OK, now I'm not making sense.

Ditto on the long week. We'll just rant away. wink wink.

Besides, don't you want my witty humor here at your board? LOL... OK, so I haven't displayed it yet... but its there, TRUST ME. LOL)

If you're referring to David by that, then I consider it a compliment. But I hardly think David's going to pull in tons of viewers just by himself. He's only ever been on Alias, and not that much anyway. So I don't think his being hired is a 'ratings grab'. It's not like they're going to advertise it as 'This week: DAVID ANDERS! WOOOO!' (Although perhaps they should )

Maybe they just want to inject some talent? (Don't take that the wrong way, just trying to add some wit with Denise ).

Well, maybe it doesn't? CSI has to get it's ratings from somewhere, and tons of other shows (Alias included) stunt casts all the time, so maybe it's not as big a deal as your making it out to be.

As for me, I can't wait for David to be on something different. He'll be all non-evil (not that Sark's evil ) and American! Not that English isn't good, but it'll be a nice change to maybe hear him use his normal accent.
