I think it's "mennig". Ian and Kate say so in the Loveline interview.

No, you didn't miss any of my conversations but, I may not write anymore. Read the following excerpt from a recent Katherine Moenning interview in USA Today!

Shane, of course, is a ladies' woman whose love-'em-and-leave-'em dating antics on The L Word, which has its second-season premiere Sunday (10 p.m. ET/PT) and was just picked up for a third round, make Colin Farrell look tame. So, is Moennig herself attached in real life?

"Maybe. Maybe not," she retorts. "We're here to promote the show. I'm happy to talk about the show and what was put into it, but when it comes to my life and what I do off-screen, I don't want to ruin that. What people do behind closed doors is their business."

You know what else I noticed? It says she goes by Kate! There goes all my call me Katherine jokes too!

As for the 2 Kate mentions in a row... what's up with that? Hmmmm it could mean something and it could not. One thing's for sure. It shows he's thinking about her. Of course I'm sure we have something to do with that!

Ian: I did tell the truth! I gave the fans several explanations
A. It was possibly the scene when Jake tells Hamilton that she’s going to NY.
B. You and I were just making out on set

E. It was a rehearsal

Now the fans can decide for themselves what they want to believe

I think it's just natural to talk about their personal lives. That's a big part of being a fan. But I think as *jaHammers, we're still capable of setting our own limitations. We may be a little crazy but not that out of this world. We still know our place and we also draw the line. As for the closed doors...we totally respect that, but the gates to DenialVille are always wide open esp. for our *adam&eve. (if that happens, it won't be 'Denial'Ville anymore..might have to relocate)

Well, one thing's for sure. If Kate Moennig is dating anyone, she wants to keep her private life private. I know it must be hard being in the public eye to keep anything private. But, at the same time, we're all entitled to it. So many Hollywood romances fail and I think it's mainly because of the public eye scrutinizing every little move they make. Some couples seem to strive on that.

I agree with nki, I think we handle our "obsession" with class. That's what I love about you guys! Besides our mod wouldn't let us be classless if we tried!

Having said all that. I think Kate is in a relationship. Otherwise she wouldn't be so secretive. In the past when asked if she was in a relationship she would say no. Now all of a sudden it's nobody's business. I wish her all the best. Everyone deserves to be happy.

Wasn't she dating some girl? I heard a rumor about that a few months ago with a picture that was supposed to prove it. They were sitting next to each other in it. I haven't heard anything about that ever since, so I don't know if it was true or not. Hmm...

Yes, supposedly she was with a girl on the Lesbian cruise used to shoot an LWord episode. I remember seeing a picture with her sitting next to a girl. Kate was dressed like Johnny Depp because it was a Holloween party and there was this girl sitting next to her. Some say is/was Kate's girlfriend.

Maybe she is and maybe she isn't.

Question: Do you consider yourself old-fashioned and romantic or more of a modern, liberal kind of guy when it comes to women and dating?

Answer: I am all of the above, I think. The word “date” is to me the worst word in the world. By definition it makes sense, but I hate dating and usually refuse to do it. I’m always introduced to people and start “seeing” them and can be very liberal (isn’t that word for politics?) or old-fashioned and romantic with a more “modern” approach. Quite frankly, I truly believe you can be all of those things and that’s what makes a great date/partner…
