The Jeffersons #1 - We're Moving on Up!
So does anybody else LOOOOVE the Jeffersons?!, or more specifically, Sherman Hemsley?!. i tried searching the forum for an appreciation thread, etc., but i couldn't find one?! I just loveed the chemistry between George and Weezy. George was always so straight-forward and impatient. and Weezy, with her never-ending patience, always put up with him! Hemsley's supposed to be featured on this show called "Living in TVLand", where we can get a glimpse how the actors are OFF the screen. Anybody else heard of it?! It's supposed to premiere Wednesday, April 26. If you guys are interested, i found this link>> www.tvland.com/originals/litvl/ . I'm really quite curious on what Hemsley's been up to after his guest appearances on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Who's watching this week?!

Sherman Helmsley is one of my all time favorites. This was a great show. I love the way he plays snarky, weasely characters. (like his later sitcom Amen...his character Deacon Frye was such a rascal it was hilarious) Although, my favorite character from The Jeffersons was Florence, the maid. Marla Gibbs went on to do 227 which was another great one. Flo snarking on George was the best part of the show for me.

Oh, awesome. Absolutely loved The Jeffersons! And yes, specifically for Sherman Helmsley.
And loved Amen. And loved 227. Boy, reading the comment above sure put a smile on my face. __________________

Amen is not as remembered as The Jeffersons, stealing all the thunder.

The Jeffersons is wonderful. I remember watching it pretty frequently as a kid. I still catch some now in reruns. Sherman Hemsley is awesome. He was such a little kid, but he was always full of it. Lol.

TVLand did for a while. Maybe they still do. Pretty sure TV One now has the rights (along with Amen).

I need to look up a lot of stuff.
We used to have a thread where we kept a list of what shows were rerunning on which networks. It was topped, but I had to take it down. Now I don't know where it is. __________________
